Help shape new guidance on measuring outcomes for children and young people with Eating Disorders
Are you a researcher, wellbeing lead or practitioner with a focus on working with children and young people with eating disorders?
We know from talking to services that practice really varies and practitioners are often unsure where to go for guidance and support about using outcome measures within young people with eating disorders.
At CORC we believe that there is a need for up to date, practical guidance on how to use measures effectively in this area of work. Therefore, we would like to invite you to collaborate with us and other experts in shaping and advising on a new practical, accessible, and freely available guidance that will support practitioners and organisations to meaningfully measure and understand outcomes for children and young people with an eating disorder.
What is involved?
This is a great opportunity to not only shape new guidance, share your professional experience, network with other experts and colleagues in this field, but also receive recognition for your, or your service’s involvement in this initiative.
We are organising 3-4 online workshops which will last 1-1.5 hours. The first workshop is on 8th December at 12:00. We want to focus on examples of good real-world practice that may assist others working in the sector and specific challenges around using routine outcome measures in cases of eating disorders. We will also share colleagues’ insight and knowledge with you during these workshops and aim to develop this with your support and experience into a suitable new guidance.
The output from this work will be written up and designed by CORC for your review before being made widely available.
There are also other ways you can get involved, including:
- Sharing case studies with us and best practice examples from your work, which can form part of the new guidance,
- Enabling the voice of children and young people in this work,
- Sharing the new guidance with your network.
If you or a member of your team would like to be part of this initiative, please email corc@annafreud.org, and tell us a little bit about your role and the service/institution/organisation that you work with/for. We will then send you a calendar invite and Zoom details for our first workshop, 23rd November at 12:00.
We are looking forward to working with you on this.
We will keep you updated on this page regarding any developments about this work.
