Unlocking Potential

Unlocking Potential (UP) is a London-based charity that provides vital support to children in crisis and promotes early intervention to improve mental health and wellbeing. Through its independent primary school in Brent, UP offers alternative education for children facing significant challenges. Its in-school multidisciplinary service, UPLifting Children, works collaboratively with schools to deliver tailored mental health and wellbeing support for children, young people, and families.

UP’s expert team of psychotherapists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists provides both one-to-one and group interventions, including long-term psychotherapy. The charity also offers the Speak UP self-referral drop-in service, allowing children to book confidential sessions with a therapist to discuss their concerns.

In addition to supporting children, UP provides guidance to teachers and the wider school community and offers resources to parents, such as the UPLifting Families online parenting group.
