We have heard from a range of professionals about challenges associated with using measures with neurodivergent children and young people. We want to better understand these challenges and to offer potential ways to overcome them.

Can you help us to develop guidance for professionals to support the meaningful use of outcome and feedback measures with neurodivergent children and young people?

To develop guidance, we are planning to:

  • establish a working group of professionals with interest and experience in this topic (5-8 professionals).
  • engage young people with lived experience of both neurodivergence and mental health support (involving measures).
  • explore the research and academic literature for evidence of challenges and practice.

Would you like to join our working group?

  • Are you a professional that supports the mental health and wellbeing of neurodivergent young people and has experience of using outcome measures with these young people?
  • Can you share experiences, including the challenges and any solutions?
  • Can you commit to joining 4-5 group meetings (90mins), to be arranged at mutually convenient times between April and June?
  • (potentially but not essential) can you facilitate engagement with young people with relevant lived experience?

We shall ensure that you and your service are acknowledged for your support with the guidance.

If you answer yes to these questions or have any questions, please get in touch. Please also forward this opportunity to colleagues that may interested.
