Parent and carers required to join advisory group: Evaluation of London Vanguard

If you are a parent or carer interested in guiding our work, we are inviting you to join a new parent/carer advisory group.

The advisory group will be supporting us in our evaluation of the London Vanguard - Community Multi-System Violence Reduction Programme, which is a way of organisations working together to support young people in complex situations, who face adversity.

We hope to draw on your experience as a parent/carer in order to help shape the evaluation, using your experience to guide us. We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you or your child belongs to any of these groups:

  • Experience of mental health settings
  • Direct/indirect experience of the youth justice system
  • Minoritised ethnic groups
  • LGBTQIA+
  • Neurodivergent

This will involve reviewing data collection materials and discussing the evaluation findings, to help us contextualise the findings while reflecting a range of voices. Previous experience of research or evaluations would be useful, but is not essential.

The group will start online in January 2024.

Meetings will take place online, and you will receive a £50 voucher per meeting you attend. There might also be some work to review materials in between meetings.

For further information please download this poster, and please circulate in your services if you have any parent participation groups, or share with anyone who might be relevant to support us with this.

The deadline for signing up is 15 December 2023.
