Safer Places delivers specialist support services to adults and children who have experienced domestic abuse.
Over the years they have grown and adapted their services to meet the needs of the communities they serve. Their services are located in Essex and Hertfordshire, but their accommodation-based services are available to people from across the UK.
Domestic abuse has both a devastating and radiating impact and affects not just those who have been directly abused but also their families, friends, colleagues, and communities. The support they offer is trauma informed and tailored to the individual needs and choices of the client as they understand that although there are common behavioural patterns, not one experience is the same as any other and therefore there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution.
By working together with their clients and working collaboratively with multiple external agencies, they can tackle domestic abuse together, ensuring that the possibility of a life without fear and abuse and the prospect of a better and brighter future is a reality for everyone.
